/News by afamstaffProfessor of Afro-Indigenous history at UCLA Kyle T. Mays, published his new book An Afro-Indigenous History of the United States this past week on November 16th! His book focuses on topics of black and indigenous struggle, the history of colonialism, and their parallels with present-day challenges.
In light of November being National Indigenous History Month, and the timely release of his new book, Professor Mays’ was featured on BNC News’ Black News Tonight with host Marc Lamont Hill!

The CPO is Offering their 6th Annual Turkey Day Food Box Giveaway!!
/News by afamstaffThe Community Programs Office is offering its 6th annual Turkey Day Food box Distribution. The box will include a turkey and the ingredients for a full Turkey Day dinner for 6-9 people. Any member of the UCLA community (undergraduate, graduate, professional students, staff, faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and retirees) is eligible!
The distribution will take place adjacent to the Student Activities Center (SAC) on Thursday, November 18 from noon to 6pm. The application for the Turkey box can be found here: cpo.ucla.edu/turkeybox.
Please encourage those in need to sign up as soon as possible!
