From Appalachia to the Academy
Join us in a colloquia to hear Richard C. Brown speak about his experience growing up black in Appalachia during the Civil Rights Era, his journey migrating to New York during the height of the African-American Great Migration, and his experience collaborating with his daughter, Professor Karida L. Brown (UCLA Sociology), on her research project on the African American experience in and through central Appalachia.
