Congratulations Brenda Stevenson: the recipient of the John W. Blassingame Award from the Southern Historical Association

We are delighted to report that Brenda Stevenson is the recipient of the John W. Blassingame Award from the Southern Historical Association. The award is given every three years to recognize “distinguished scholarship and/or mentorship in African American history.” Congratulations to Brenda on this well deserved award, which I know is particulary special to her since Blassingame was her mentor at Yale.​
